วัดบากายา (Bagaya Monastery)

แล่นมาตามถนนที่มีแมกไม้และน้ำล้นสองข้างทางได้สักพัก ก็ถึงวัดไม้ที่สวยสง่างาม ชื่อว่า วัดบากายา (Bagaya Monastery) โกธงบอกว่า วัดแห่งนี้สร้างขึ้นในรัชสมัยของพระเจ้าปะดุงเมื่อปี พ.ศ. 2377 เดิมทีใช้เป็นสถานที่เรียนพระพุทธศาสนาของเหล่าเชื้อพระวงศ์ ปัจจุบันถูกใช้เป็นโรงเรียนสอนพระพุทธศาสนาให้แก่ประชาชนทั่วไป โดยมีพระสงฆ์ทำหน้าที่เป็นครูสอน

วัดแห่งนี้สร้างขึ้นจากไม้สักทองแกะสลักทั้งหลัง มีเสาที่ทำจากไม้สักขนาดใหญ่ทั้งต้น จำนวนทั้งหมด 267 ต้น เสาที่สูงที่สุด มีความสูงถึง 60 ฟุต เส้นรอบวง 9 ฟุต ปลายเสาไม้แต่ละต้นบนระเบียง มีบัวปูนปั้นครอบไว้ เพื่อกันน้ำฝนไม่ให้เข้าไปในเสา อันจะทำให้ไม้ผุพังได้ง่าย นับเป็นภูมิปัญญาที่ชาญฉลาดของช่างไม้ในสมัยนั้น

ตัวอาคารมีความกว้าง 188 ฟุต กว้าง 103 ฟุต รูปทรงสถาปัตย์เป็นแบบพม่าแท้ๆ งามด้วยไม้แกะสลักที่ประดับประดาอยู่ทั่วไป

รถม้าวิ่งย้อนกลับไปตามทางที่เรามา แล้วก็แยกไปจอดลงหน้าเจดีย์ใหญ่ ที่อยู่อีกฟากหนึ่งของทางน้ำ แต่ไม่มีใครทราบว่าคือเจดีย์อะไร สำคัญอย่างไร

ไม่น่าเชื่อเลยค่ะว่า...ระยะเวลาเพียงห้าวันครึ่ง ที่สองสายได้ท่องเที่ยวไปในเมืองเล็กๆของเขตมัณฑะเลย์ และ รัฐฉาน ช่างเป็นช่วงเวลา ที่ทำให้เรามีความสุขสนุกสนานได้อย่างเต็มที่และเต็มอิ่ม

ธรรมชาติและผู้คนที่ยังดูบริสุทธิ์ไร้การแต่งแต้ม.... ช่างเป็นเสน่ห์ที่ตรึงใจให้เราหลงรักพม่าได้ไม่ยากเลย

เรามั่นใจว่า...ครั้งนี้จะไม่ใช่ครั้งแรกและครั้งสุดท้าย ในการไปเยี่ยมเยือนพม่าแน่นอนค่ะ

ต๊า ตา....เจ๊ะ โจร แม่...อะติดตุ๊ย....ลาก่อนจนกว่าจะพบกันใหม่....
